It’s completely understandable to feel lost afte

It’s completely understandable to feel lost after retiring from your sport. Your identity as an athlete was a significant part of who you are, and transitioning away from that can bring a sense of grief and sadness.

It’s important to acknowledge that while some aspects of your identity will remain with you, others will evolve. The skills, discipline, hard work, and so much more that you’ve developed won’t disappear; they’ll become part of a new chapter in your life. Embracing this change means allowing yourself to feel the loss while also being open to new experiences and identities when you feel ready too.

This journey may take time, but as you explore new interests and redefine your sense of self, you’ll find that you can still be “you,” just in different ways. It’s okay to seek support during this transition; many have walked this path and found fulfillment in unexpected places. Healing and growth often come together, and with patience, you’ll discover new layers of who you are.
